The biggest new features also show up under What's new in the bell at the top of the app, with a dot until you've seen them.
Ask someone for their wishlist
October 13, 2026
Not sure what to get someone? Open their page in your gift list and tap Ask with their name. They get a link, make a wishlist on Wishpile, and their wishes show up right on their page for you to claim, without them knowing.

A Getting started checklist on Home
October 13, 2026
New members now get a short Getting started checklist at the top of Home: a few steps from your first list or wishlist to sharing it with family, ticked off as you go. Tap Hide to put it away; it waits in your account menu, under the circle with your initial at the top right.

See unclaimed wishes on the Gifts page
October 9, 2026
When someone on your gift list has wishes nobody has claimed yet, the Gifts page now says so on their card, like "3 unclaimed wishes on their wishlist," even before you've picked out a gift for them. Tap it to see them. Totals still count only the gifts you've picked out.

Prices in your own currency
October 9, 2026
Wishpile now speaks more than dollars. Pick your currency under Profile settings, and budgets and totals use it. A link from a shop abroad keeps its own currency, so a price in pounds or krona shows that way, and totals convert it at the day's rate.
