Christmas is closer than it looks. Start the list while it's calm.

You remember everyone. Now something remembers for you.

You're the one everyone counts on to remember the gifts. Wishpile is the family gift tracker that holds the whole job: who you're buying for, what you've spent, what's bought, and what's still in a bag waiting to be wrapped.

An example gift pile: a household Christmas budget of $600 with $412 spent, and gift tags for Linda (Mom), Theo, and Maya, each showing its stage.

01The mental load

The gifts are the fun part. Remembering them is a second job.

  • Notes: "xmas ideas??"Edited 41 times. Still says "socks again??"
  • Gifts_FINAL_v3.xlsxLast opened eleven months ago
  • 14 screenshotsThings Maya pointed at in July
  • 11:04 PM"Did I buy Theo's LEGO, or just think about it?"
  • One pile.Every person, gift, budget, and receipt, in one calm place.

Somebody in every family keeps the list. Usually without being asked, and almost never thanked for it.

It lives in a notes app. In a spreadsheet you swore you'd update. In a camera roll full of things your niece pointed at in July, and in a budget you set in November and quietly abandoned by the twelfth.

And at 11pm, a week before the day, it lives in your chest, while you try to remember whether you bought Theo the LEGO set or just thought about it very hard.

That's the invisible work of gift-giving. Wishpile doesn't pretend it away. It just gives it somewhere to go that isn't your head.

02The other half

How is Wishpile different from a wishlist app?

A wishlist app answers one question: what does everyone want? Wishpile answers that too, and then handles the job that comes after it: who you're buying for, what you've set aside for each person, what you've actually bought, and what still needs wrapping.

A wishlist app

Tells you what they want.

Useful. And then you're on your own.

  • Collects what everyone says they want
  • Lets family claim items off a list
  • Stops two people buying the same thing
All of that, plus

Wishpile

Handles everything after.

The planning, the spending, the buying, the wrapping.

  • A budget per person, and a total only you can see
  • Every gift tracked from idea to bought to wrapped to done
  • Gifts you thought of yourself, not just things off a list
  • Co-planning with your partner, without spoiling each other
  • Group gifts, with who chipped in what
  • Receipts and photos kept with the gift

Wishlists are the easy half of gift giving. Wishpile is built for the other half.

03What only Wishpile does

Built for the part of gift-giving nobody sees.

Wishpile replaces the notes app, the spreadsheet, and the mental load: one place for every gift list, wishlist, and budget you juggle.

A budget for every person.

Set what you want to spend on each person and watch spent and remaining update as you go. Planning with your partner? Share a household budget too. Curious eyes nearby? Hide the totals with a tap.

  • Per-person budgets, plus a shared household total
  • Spent and remaining update as you buy
  • One tap hides every number on screen

Every gift moves through real stages, so you always know what's still an idea, what's paid for, and what's sitting in a bag in the closet waiting for tape.

  • Idea, bought, wrapped, done: one glance, whole picture
  • Receipts and photos kept with the gift
  • Save ideas all year, long before you need them

04And everything you'd expect

The wishlist part, done beautifully too.

Paste a link, get the gift.

Drop in a product link and Wishpile grabs the name, price, and photo for you. Building a list takes seconds.

Your own pile, too.

Add things you want the moment you think of them, so you stop forgetting. When someone asks what you'd like, send the link.

Family wishlists

Everyone shares what they actually want. No more guessing, no more panic gift cards.

No more double-buying

Claim a gift and it's hidden from the owner, while the rest of the family sees it's taken.

Lists with countdowns

A list per occasion, with the days ticking down. Next season, clone it with your people and budgets, then archive the old one.

Secret Santa, done right

Draw names fairly, add exclusions (no, you can't draw your spouse), reveal privately.

  • Receipts & photos on every gift
  • No app to install, works on any phone
  • Share wishlists by link or a Wishpile email
  • Optional email nudges before occasions
  • Private by default, never sold
  • Dark mode, obviously

06The film

Thirty seconds on the other half.

A short film about the person holding the whole holiday together, and what happens when the list finally lives somewhere else.

0:30Real app, real screens

07How it works

Three steps to gift-giving glory.

Step 1: Make your pile

Add your people, create a list for the occasion, and set your budget.

Step 2: Pile on the ideas

Save gift ideas all year long. Paste product links, add notes, attach photos.

Step 3: Give like you planned it

Track buying and wrapping, run the Secret Santa, and take all the credit.

08For families

Made for families (and their secrets).

One organized person is good. A whole family organized is a holiday miracle. Start a family group and everyone adds what they'd actually love, in one place. Quietly claim what you'll buy and nobody double-buys, because the person receiving never sees a thing.

  • Grandparents and kids join by invite link, no account needed
  • Nothing to install, it works in any phone browser
  • Claims, gifts, and spending stay hidden from the person they're for

What Maya sees

Maya's wishlist

10In their words

From people actually using it.

I like the wishpile because any time I want something I add it. In the past I forget things I want.

Something else? support@wishpile.com, a real person will write back.

Is Wishpile free?
Yes, completely free. Lists, family groups, claiming, Secret Santa - all of it, no credit card required.
How does Wishpile make money if it’s free?
Through affiliate links. When you buy something through a product link in Wishpile, we earn a small referral fee from the retailer - at no extra cost to you. It never changes the price you pay or which gifts you see.
Can the people I’m planning for see their gifts?
Never. Your gift lists, budgets, and plans are private to you. People only ever see the wishlists they’re meant to - Wishpile automatically hides anything that would spoil their own surprise.
Do the people I’m shopping for need an account?
No. Track gifts for anyone just by adding their name. For family wishlists, send an invite link - they can add and manage their own wishlist with no account needed. Add their email when you invite them and they’ll get automatic updates and reminders too, perfect for grandparents who’d rather not sign up for anything.
Can I plan gifts with my partner?
Yes - that’s a household. You and your partner co-plan from one shared gift list and budget, seeing each other’s ideas and spending, while Wishpile still hides the gifts meant for each of you.
Do I need to download an app?
No app store required. Wishpile runs in your phone's browser - add it to your home screen and it behaves just like a native app. It works great on desktop too.
Do my lists carry over year to year?
No, and that’s by design: each occasion gets its own list, so nothing from last year gets overwritten. When a season’s over, clone its list to start the next one. Pick who comes along, keep their budgets, and bring over no gifts, only the ideas you never got to, or everything (handy if your family repeats favorites). The original stays exactly as it was. Your family group stays put year to year too.
Is my data private? Do you sell it?
Your data belongs to your account, protected by per-user security rules, and we don’t sell it - ever. You stay in control of your lists and can remove them any time.
